Rahil shines in YMDC’s win

MANGALORE: A blistering unbeaten 101 by opener Rahil (1x6, 11x4) enabled Yenepoya Medical and Dental College (Deralakatte) score a thrilling nine-run win over Kasturba Medical College ‘B’ (Mangalore) in their Twenty20 fixture for the Ace Surgical Cup at the Nehru Maidan here on Monday.

The scores: Yenepoya 167 for four in 20 overs (Rahil 101 n.o., Sukhmandeep three for 37) bt KMC ‘B’ 158 in 19.1 overs (including six penalty runs) (Sukhmandeep 36, Karthik 34).

Canara Engineering 134 for nine in 20 overs (Ravneet Verma three for 23) lost to KMC (Manipal) 135 for five in 19.4 overs (Nihal Yadav 55, Vasanth Mohandas 30). — Staff Correspondent
