GURGAON: In a dream run, Mark Brown collected his second title in eight days when he came up with a strong finish to win the $2.57 million Johnnie Walker Classic at the DLF Golf and Country Club here on Sunday.

Once the Indian challenge faded this afternoon when Jyoti Randhawa dropped three shots spread over as many holes on the front nine, Brown won a three-way battle after signing off with a birdie for a three-shot victory.

Brown, who led temporarily on the third day, fired a five-under 67 for a winning tally of 18-under 270. Winner of the $400,000 SAIL Open at Jaypee Greens at Greater Noida, Brown received $447,132 and an exemption from playing qualifying rounds on the European Tour till the end of 2010.

Overnight leader Japanese Taichiro Kiyota and the Australian duo of Scott Strange and Greg Chalmers shared the second spot. They collected $187,646 each.

Shiv Kapur brought some consolation to the Indian supporters with a last-round 68 that tied him for the fifth spot at 14-under 274.

Randhawa, tied second at the start of the round, carded a par round after being two-over at the turn.

Shiv received $90,088 while the eighth-placed Randhawa got $62,910.

It was a great reward for Brown for keeping his nerves during the tense round. His playing partner for the day, Kiyota at one point was leading by three shots before Strange overtook him on the back nine.

The scores:

Mark Brown (NZ) (71, 68, 64, 67) 270; Greg Chalmers (Aus) (68, 69, 68, 68), Taichiro Kiyota (Jpn) 68, 67, 67, 71), Scott Strange (Aus) (71, 67, 68, 67) 273; Johan Edfors (Swe) (71, 69, 69, 65), Graeme Storm (Eng) (70, 66, 69, 69), Shiv Kapur (6, 65, 72, 68) 274; Jyoti Randhawa (70, 65, 68, 72) 275; Prayad Marksaeng (Tha) (74, 65, 70, 67) and Daniel Vancsik (Arg) (67, 71, 68, 70) 276.
