Fine imposed

A sum of Rs. 10,763 was collected as fine from 395 passengers who travelled without tickets in Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation buses. According to a press release, the TNSTC conducted inspection in 90 places in and around Madurai, including Usilampatti, T. Kallupatti, Melur and Tirumangalm, as part of an awareness campaign against ticketless travel on February1, 18 and 25. — Staff Reporter
