CHENNAI: Current Indian National junior badminton champion R.M.V. Guru Sai Dutt won the boys singles title in the Dutch Junior International 2008 held in Haarlem. Dutt defeated the second seed Pedro Martin (POR) 21-14, 21-7, according to information reaching here. He is the first Indian to win here. Four years ago Anand Pawar had won the Czech open. The National junior coach Sanjiv Sachdeva said this win augurs well for Indian badminton in view of the Youth Commonwealth Games to be held in October in Pune. Dutta defeated Matevz Bajuk of Slovakia, the 3-4 seed 21-12, 21-13 and in the quarter final Wing Ki Wong (HKG) 22-20, 21-10, 23-21. — Special Correspondent
