Patil happy with Centre’s response

GULBARGA: The president of the Hyderbad-Karnataka Horata Samiti, Vaijnath Patil, on Sunday expressed happiness over the positive response of the Centre to the demand to amend Article 371 to include the State in the schedule to provide special reservation in employment and education to people of backward regions.

Addressing presspersons here, Mr. Patil said Union Minister of State for Home Shivraj Patil had promised a delegation of MPs and the samiti that a note from his department to amend Article 371 and include the State in the schedule would be placed in the Cabinet meeting.
