Two wins for Andhra boys

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra defeated Tamil Nadu 18-6 and later beat Karnataka 15-13 in the girls’ league fixtures of the ninth South Zone junior (u-18) kho kho championship for boys and girls for the D. Appa Rao memorial trophy held at Gannavaram on Friday.

In the boys’ section, Andhra defeated Puducherry, while Telangana overcame Tamil Nadu 13-7.

The results (league): Boys: Andhra bt Puducherry 12-7; Telangana bt TN 13-7; Karnataka bt Puducherry 14-12; Kerala bt TN 14-10.

Girls: Andhra bt TN 18-6; Puducherry bt Karnataka 14-8; TN bt Telangana 15-11; Andhra bt Karnataka 15-13.
