Library staff stage dharna

VIZIANAGARAM: Andhra Pradesh State Grandhalaya Samstha Udyogula Sangam on Friday staged a dharna at the Collector’s office in protest against the ‘indifferent’ attitude of civic bodies, notified and non-notified panchayats that have not been paying cess to the samstha.

Though it is the responsibility of the local bodies to pay cess to the samstha regularly, arrears to the tune of Rs. 1.50 crores are pending in the district, according to sangam district president B. Ramabhadra Raju.

Later, the employees submitted a memorandum to the Collector.
