Cordia LT launches IP telephony service

NEW DELHI: Cordia LT Communications Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture between LT Infotech and global communications provider Cordia International Corporation, on Wednesday launched “Dream Phone”, an Internet protocol (IP) telephony-based service. The company would be offering cost effective and technologically advanced international IP telephony service.

Addressing a press conference here, Cordia LT Communications Chief Executive Officer M. D. Vanjani said the company had received ISP ‘A’ grade licence and ‘Internet telephony services provider’ (ITSP) approval from the Ministry of Telecommunications and now subscribers would get cheap ISD services by using any broadband connection.

Attractive rates

“Subscribers will be able to use normal wire-line telephone instrument at their ease with the help of an adaptor provided by the company. The IP telephony services are being launched at attractive rates, with the basic plan priced at Rs. 595 a month (excluding taxes). The subscribers can sign up for Cordia LT digital phone service by filling up the subscriber’s form or by visiting our website,” he added.

The company also introduced three ‘Unlimited Plans’ that allow subscribers to choose as per their requirements keeping in mind their budget and preferred call destinations. It will also be introducing exclusive plans for the corporate sector and small and medium enterprises. The company will be offering various value-added services to strengthen its market position.

“Our phone services will initially be available for residential and small and medium corporate throughout India. We will soon introduce plans for volume customers like PCOs, outsourcing firms and large corporate houses at extremely attractive rates,” he added.
