BJP sets fire to Lalu Prasad’s effigy

KARIMNAGAR: The BJP Karimnagar district unit leaders have set fire to the effigies belonging to Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, Karimnagar MP K. Chandrashekhar Rao, Peddapalli MP G. Venkat Swamy in front of railway reservation counter in Karimnagar town on Wednesday.

BJP leaders led by Harikumar Goud, B. Jaganmohan Rao, D Sridhar and others participated in the programme and flayed the UPA government for poor allocations in the railway budget to the Jagtial to Nizamabad railway line and no mention of Kothapalli to Monarabad railway line and other projects.

They also launched a scathing attack against the district MPs K. Chandrashekhar Rao and G. Venkat Swamy for not making representations to the Union Railway Minister for the allocation of funds and sanctioning of railway lines .
