Directive to Corporation pensioners

Staff Reporter

CHENNAI: Former employees of the Chennai Corporation who are drawing pensions or those drawing family pensions would have to present a life certificate to the Accounts Officer (Pensions) office from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on office working days between March 3 and June 30, 2008.

The certificate should be submitted with the Pension Payment Order books and the appropriate form.

Those who are unable to come in person to submit the documents should send their recent passport-size photographs with an attestation done by a gazetted officer or the manager of the bank concerned receiving the pension along with the life certificate by post.

If the certificate is not handed in by person or sent by post, the payment of pension would be halted from August 2008, according to a press release.
