Ashwin and Anirudha for Super Kings

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu off-spinner R. Ashwin and opening batsman S. Anirudha have been contracted to represent the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Signs Raina, Tyagi

The IPL requires a minimum of four under-22 cricketers in each squad — Ashwin and Anirudha will join Suresh Raina in this bracket. The Chennai Super Kings, owned by the India Cements group, has also signed up 20-year-old Uttar Pradesh seamer Sudeep Tyagi.

N. Einstein and Abhinav Mukund, currently in Kuala Lumpur with the Indian under-19 side, are expected to be offered contracts as well. — Special Correspondent
