Goa firm on stand

Special Correspondent

PANAJI: The Goa government continues to be firm on its resolve to scrap all the special economic zones (SEZs) including its demand for de-notification of the three notified SEZs.

Responding to reports from Delhi on Monday that the Centre has deferred a decision on Goa’s request to scrap the SEZs and it would talk to the promoters of the SEZs, Goa Chief Secretary J.P. Singh told The Hindu that the government was yet to get anything from the Centre in writing in this regard.
