Naxalites killed

MUMBAI: At least eight naxalites were killed and five others injured in a series of skirmishes with the police in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra during the past one week. One policeman was also killed in action.

Maharashtra Director General of Police P.S. Pasricha told reporters on Monday that the action was executed by the Anti-Naxalite Operations (ANO) Cell of the state police. He said that he could confirm that eight naxalites’ death.
