Llodra to take on Karlovic in last four

ROTTERDAM: French left-hander Michael Llodra ended home interest at the Rotterdam Open with a 7-6(5), 7-6(5) quarterfinal win over Robin Haase here on Friday.

Llodra, who made his reputation on the doubles court with a Wimbledon title last summer alongside Arnaud Clement, now faces Ivo Karlovic in Saturday’s semifinal.

Croatia’s Karlovic fired over a dozen aces as he reached the final four for the first time this season, defeating German qualifier Mischa Zverev 6-3, 6-1.

Easy for Roddick

Top-seeded Andy Roddick easily defeated in-form Japanese teenager Kei Nishikori 6-2, 6-4 to advance to the quarterfinals of the SAP Open at San Jose on Thursday.
