British Queen apologises to six-year-old girl

London: The Queen of England has apologised to a six-year-old after one of her swans nipped the girl’s finger in a local park. Elishia Stevenson wrote to the Queen, who owns the birds under an ancient charter, after being bitten while at the Coronation Park in Helston with her father and grandparents.

The Queen’s Lady-in-Waiting replied to Elishia: “The Queen wishes me to write and thank you for your letter which you have sent to Her Majesty. The Queen thought it kind of you to write to her and was sorry to hear about the swan.” — PTI
