Focus on institutional deliveries, says Gupta

Dispensaries to work on PPP model

CHANDIGARH: Chairman of District Family and Health Welfare Society cum Deputy Commissioner of Gurgaon Rakesh Gupta on Wednesday asked the corporate houses and other organisations which have been allotted the eight dispensaries lying abandoned for many years in various sectors in Gurgaon to focus on institutional deliveries.

These dispensaries would be run on Public-Private-Partnership (PPP)model and would enable the corporate houses to discharge their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Mr.Gupta said during a meeting with representatives of these corporate houses and organisations.

The Sector 49 dispensary would be managed by Global Cancer Concern India while the dispensaries in Sectors 54 and 39 had been given to DLF Private Ltd. and the Palam Vihar dispensary would be run by National Thalasemia Welfare Society. The Sector 57 dispensary would be looked after by Vedram Charitable Trust while the Sector 40 dispensary would be run by Chikitsa Society and the dispensaries in Sectors 55 and 43 would be managed by Genpact Private Limited.

Mr. Gupta asked these organisations to get the dispensaries ready for inauguration by the first week of April.
