Muslim League warns of stir on Sachar report

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) on Monday said it would launch a nationwide agitation from March 10 if the Centre did not implement in toto the recommendations of the Rajendra Sachar Committee for the welfare of minorities and also ensure that the Ranganath Mishra Commission’s Report was tabled in Parliament.

At a press conference here, IUML president G.M. Banatwala said though nine months had passed, the Mishra Commission report was yet to be tabled.

The agitation would start with letters and telegrams to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and take a more serious form if the demands were not met, he warned.
