HYDERABAD: Hyderabad under-17 cricketer P. Akshath Reddy has been selected to go to Malaysia during the ICC under-19 World Cup in Kuala Lumpur to give him exposure and a feel of the international competition, according to N. Shivlal Yadav, HCA secretary. The decision comes in the wake of impressive performances with the bat by the Hyderabad youngster in the recent all-India Vijay Merchant Trophy championship. Football tournamentSai Krupa Sports Foundation will organise V. Hanumantha Rao Super Cup prize money football tournament from February 18 to March 13 at Gymkhana Grounds, according to M. Uday Raj, general secretary of the Foundation. The event carries a prize money of Rs. 15,000 for the winner and Rs. 10,000 for the runner-up. There will be Man of the Match awards for all the matches. The teams which have confirmed participation included BDL, SBH, SCR, SBI, DMRL, EME Centre, Hyderabad Globe, Shastri Club and Tarnaka Football Club.
