Alappuzha YMCA players dominate

KOCHI: The Alappuzha YMCA Table Tennis Academy players dominated the 29th Dr. P.K. Narayanaswamy memorial all-Kerala table tennis tournament at the Ambalamedu Club here on Sunday. The Alappuzha players won nine titles, including a clean sweep in the junior, youth, sub-junior and cadet boys and girls sections.

The results (finals): Men: P. Adarsh (Tvm) bt Gladyson Correya (RSC, Kochi) 11-7, 8-11, 11-6, 12-10, 11-13, 17-15.

Junior boys: Vishnu Narayanan (AYTTA) bt S.Sunder (AYTTA) 11-5, 13-11, 11-8, 11-3.

Youth boys: Vishnu Narayanan (AYTTA) bt Harikrishnan (Tvm) 11-7, 11-8, 5-11, 8-11, 11-8, 11-5.

Sub-junior boys: Rahul Binu Mathew (AYTTA) bt Rohit Binu Mathew (AYTTA) 11-5, 11-6, 11-9.

Cadet boys: Rohit Binu Mathew (AYTTA) bt Anas Irshad (AYTTA) 11-6, 11-9, 9-11, 11-9.

Mini cadet boys: Anas Irshad (AYTTA) bt Gautham S. Kumar (Manjeri) 11-4, 11-8, 8-11, 11-7.

Veteran men: C.G. Ramachandran (Ekm) bt Monish (Ekm) 11-6, 11-9, 8-11, 13-11.

Women: Aparna D. Nair (Tvm) bt Lakshmi Prabha (Kzd) 7-11, 6-11, 12-10, 11-7, 11-2, 11-4.
