Man arrested; 20 kg ganja seized

TIRUCHI: The Thillai Nagar police arrested Murugan (32) of Rehmaniapuram and confiscated 20 kg ganja from his possession on Saturday.

Acting on information, a police team under the supervision of Inspector Kodilingam intercepted the youth travelling on a motorcycle with the bag containing the narcotics and effected the arrest.

According to police, Murugan had obtained the ganja from Andhra Pradesh for local distribution.

About a week ago, the Thillai Nagar police had arrested his mother-in-law Rabia (50) at her home where she was found to possess one kg ganja.
