Basheer, Vishal on song

NEW DELHI: Basheer Ali struck four goals while Vishal Singh scored three as Cavalry Black-Chougan beat Drakon 10 goals to five-and-a-half, in a Pool ‘A’ league match of the Maharaja Sir Pratap Singh Cup 10-goal polo tournament at the Army Equestrian Centre Ground here on Tuesday.

Dhruvpal Godara opened the scoring for Drakon, which started with one-and-a-half goals on handicap, but Cavalry-Chougan team rode on Basheer and Vishal’s brilliance.

Tarun Sirohi (2) and Navjit Sandhu were the other scorers for the Cavalry team.

For Drakon, Godara brothers, Manupal and Dhruvpal scored two goals apiece. — Principal Correspondent
