Coimbatore: Mani HSS posted a 45-run win over Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Maha Vidyalaya MHSS to emerge champion in the CDCA under-15 inter-school cricket tournament for the N. Giridhari Prasad Trophy at the Forest College grounds here on Sunday. The scores (final): Mani HSS 150 for seven in 45 overs (G. Srivardhan 55) bt Sri Jayendra Saraswathi 105 in 37.3 overs. Easy for SRMSCSri Ramakrishna Mills Sports Club (SRMSC) defeated Indian Cricket Club by six wickets in the Canara Bank-CDCA first division league for the Pricol Trophy at the TNAU grounds on Sunday. The scores (first division): Indian CC 120 for nine in 48 overs lost to Sri Ramakrishna Mills SC 122 for four in 29.1 overs (K. Hari Prasad 48). Second division: Suryabala CC 199 for nine in 50 overs bt Lakshmi Mills Colony CC 159 for nine in 50 overs. Karthikeyan triumphsM. Karthikeyan of Lisieux MHSS (Coimbatore) clinched the title for college boys in the one-day chess tournament, organised by the Archetypal Chess Academy, at the Sri Kanniga Parameswari School in Udumalpet on Sunday.
