Herbal drug to treat heart diseases

Staff Reporter

VISAKHAPATNAM: ‘Arborium Plus’, a proprietary herbal formulation of M/s Redhill Herbals Private Limited, Dehradun, is a cheap and effective alternative to treat coronary heart disease, according to medical director of the company K.V.G.S. Murthy.

Addressing a media conference, Dr. Murthy said that the product could also be used by persons who had suffered a stroke or paralysis, to reduce cholesterol and triglyceride levels in blood, arthritis and depression associated with ageing.

He said that the formulation could be taken along with other systems of medicine like Allopathy and Unani but a 15-minute gap should be maintained.

Managing director Sriraj Kota said that the product was launched in Andhra Pradesh in 2004.

Systematic study

Efforts were being made to conduct a systematic study of the effects and benefits on patients who had used them. This was being done for further improvisation and documentation and to release six more products that were undergoing trials.
