Vizag institute to offer executive MBA

To collaborate with US-based Howard University

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Ambedkar Institute of Management Studies (AIMS) in the city has plans to offer an Executive MBA programme in collaboration with Howard University, Washington D.C.

Informing this to media persons, AIMS Director C. Suryanarayana said that working executives as also those who qualified in MAT, CAT and XLRI entrance examinations, besides ICET would be eligible for the programme which involved study at AIMS as well as at Howard University.

Group study

The fee structure was being worked out and reservations would also be extended to SC and ST students in tune with the policy of Ambedkar Institute of Management Studies, he added.

He said group study exchange programmes for the present MBA course was also being thought of and the institute would move to its own spacious premises at Yendada in July next.

Professor and Chair of Information Systems and Decision Sciences of Howard University Narendra K. Rustagi, who is also the coordinator of Foreign Collaborations of the university, said that the programme would provide global perspective to students looking for quality American degree.

“We are planning to develop joint seminars and exchange programmes for faculty and students,” he revealed.Head of Foreign Studies and Management Development of AIMS M. Ramgopal said that the expenses under collaborative programmes would be in the order of just one-third of the cost of individuals pursuing studies abroad on their own.
