Kakinada: The All India Movement for Seva (AIMS) has plans to set up modern centres of education in 600 districts across the country to promote qualitative education and through it spread the virtues of life. Fifty such centres have already been established with the objective of providing education to the poor children, AIMS coordinator Swami Dayananda Saraswati told media persons during his visit to Sree Peetham here last night. The Swami said 10 centres would be set up soon, including one in Tirupati. These centres could accommodate 50 students each and impart value based education from 5th to 12th classes to a total of 70. The AIMS would have such centres established in every district in seven years from now. The governments of Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra are extending their cooperation in this regard by providing land and other facilities. The AIMS has a plan to introduce vocational education also. Acharya SabhaSwami Dayananda Saraswati said Veda schools were also set up by the AIMS and it was rendering health care services to people of tribal areas where the Government services were unable to fulfil the needs properly. The heads of Hindu Mutts of different ‘Sampradayas’ are part of a common body called ‘Acharya Sabha’, which is the driving force behind the AIMS. Swami Paripoornananda Saraswati, the founder seer of Sree Peetham, also spoke.
