KARIMNAGAR: All the villagers irrespective of caste and creed participated in mass puja programmes at all temples in and around Manthani town as part of ‘Grama pradikshana’ programme on Monday. This kind of ritual was conducted some 40 years back and now conducted again for the wellbeing of Manthani town people and universal peace. Local pandits D. Maruthi Sharma, N. Purushotham Sharma, BJP State executive committee member Sashibushan Kache and others participated in the programme. Since morning, as part of the programme, around 500 and odd villagers went round the village, covering a distance of about 12 km. and offered prayers at all the temples located in the town and on the outskirts. The residents of the town performed pujas to the presiding deities.
