NEW DELHI: All six Indians in the fray emerged victorious against lower-rated opponents in the fifth round of the Gibtelecom Masters chess tournament in Gibraltar on Saturday. Sandipan Chanda shared the fourth spot with 15 others at four points. China’s Bu Xiangzhi and Wang Hao joined overnight sole leader Bulgaria’s Antoaneta Stefanova at 4.5 points. The results (involving Indians): Fifth round: Edwin van Haastert (Ned, 3) lost to Sandipan Chanda (4); Horst Vonthron (Ger, 2.5) lost to G. N. Gopal (3.5); D. Harika (3) bt Jeroer van den Dersselaar (Ned, 2); Anders Pettersson (Swe, 2) lost to N. Srinath (3); Ian Campbell (Eng, 1.5) lost to Aarthie Ramaswamy (2.5); Martyn Hamer (Eng, 1.5) lost to Kruttika Nadig (2.5).
