Easy for Kattankaluthur

Kattankaluthur defeated Flakt India by seven wickets in a Division I match of the Kancheepuram DCA cricket league here recently.

The scores: Div. I: Brindavan CC 179 in 30 overs (Srivatsan 40) bt Garnet 144 for eight in 30 overs (Jayachandran 53).

Flakt India 161 for nine in 30 overs (S. Jagdish 83) lost to Kattankaluthur 163 for three in 25.1 overs (Ravi Subramanium 41, S. Chandrasekhar 52 not out).

Div. II: Areva T & D 176 for four in 20 overs (V. Vishnukumar 69 not out) bt Prahlad 160 for five in 20 overs (Yashwanth Ravi 70).

Thiruvallur in final

Thiruvallur DCA entered the final of the P.R. Thevar Trophy TNCA under-17 inter-district cricket tournament, by virtue of its first-innings lead, in the semifinal against Trichy DCA here on Wednesday. Thiruvallur made 292 in the first innings. R. Karthik Aditya scored 78, while C.K. Deepak Kumar scored 64.

The scores: Trichy DCA 221 and 46 for three in 16 overs drew with Thiruvallur DCA 292 in 94.2 overs (C.K. Deepak Kumar 64, R. Karthik Aditya 78, K. Bhuvanesh Kanna 32, Tean Michael Joseph Kennedy three for 45, P.T. Subash three for 49).

Mukunth shines

K. Mukunth made an unbeaten 74 as St. Michael’s defeated Chettinad Vidyashram by four runs in the Vidya Mandir – Sportstar under-13 tournament here on Wednesday.

The scores:

St. Michael’s 130 for two in 26.4 overs (K. Mukunth 74 not out, K. Siddarth 26 not out) bt Chettinad Vidyashram 126 for six in 30 overs (Kaushik V. Ram 25).

DAV Mogappair 69 in 24.4 overs (P. Sivaprakash four for 13, Aravind Mahadevan three for 20) lost to PSSS 70 for five in 25.4 overs (M. Adityan 25).

Modern SSS 100 for seven in 30 overs (S. Ullaskumar 33 not out) lost to Don Bosco 101 for no loss in 13.5 overs (Sharukh Khan 44 not out).
