Manchit advances with an easy win

HYDERABAD: Manchit Madan outplayed Hamza Ghouse 9-1 in the men’s singles third round of the Nawab Moin-ud-Dowla State-ranking tennis tournament at Secunderabad Club here on Wednesday.

Sruta Kirti bagged a ‘double’ winning the girls under-10 and the under-12 years singles titles in the Tiny Tots Open tennis tournament organised by GKs Trapeze Tennis Academy in Sainikpuri here.

Easy win for JHIC

Jubilee Hills International Centre recorded an easy 2-0 win over Vivekananda Nagar ‘A’ in the Inter-club tennis tournament organised by Yektha Tennis Alliance here.

The results: JHIC bt Vivekananda Nagar ‘A’ 2-0 (Vikram Nagpal-Prasada Rao bt Ratnakar-Surendra Babu 6-3, 6-4; Vikram Nagpal bt Surendra Babu 6-2, 6-3).

Osmania University bt Yektha Tennis Alliance ‘B’ 2-0 (Maruthi Mohan-Srinivas bt Sadasiva Reddy-Tirupati Rao 6-3, 6-4; Srinivas bt Paulson 6-2, 6-3).
