Crucial match for Viva Kerala

KOZHIKODE: “It’s a do or die situation for us,” said Viva Kerala coach A.M. Sreedharan, referring to Thursday’s ONGC I-League match at the Corporation Stadium here against Mahindra United.

The Kochi-based team is struggling to avoid relegation as it is placed eighth in the 10-team league, with 12 points from as many games. “We need to win at least two games from our remaining six games,” said Sreedharan. “And none of those matches are going to be easy.”

Mahindra is in the fifth position with 17 points from 12 games. — Principal Correspondent
