KOLKATA: Kyra Shroff upset her top seeded Indonesian opponent, Grace Sari Ysidora, and reached the semifinals of the ONGC ITF junior tennis here on Wednesday.

All-Indian line-up

Third seeded Rashmi Teltumbde of India eliminated the sixth seeded Ashurya Shrivastav to complete an all-Indian line-up for the semifinals.

Shroff, who is playing her first ITF event of the season, came up with her best performance.

The Indian mixed power and accuracy in her returns putting her opponent on the backfoot right from the start.

Shroff broke Ysidora thrice before winning the first set 6-1. The second set was more evenly fought with the two players trading six break points to force the tie-breakers. Shroff wrapped up the match by winning the tiebreaker 7-4.

She meets seventh seeded Sunkara in the semifinals.

Fifth seeded Solanki, who battled more than two hours to break through the defences of second seeded Shah, will meet the third seeded Teltumbde in the other semifinal.
