Cement sale at concessional rate begins in Krishnagiri

A person can get a maximum of 100 bags

Krishnagiri: The supply of cement at a concession rate of Rs. 200 a bag through the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation began in the district on Wednesday.

Collector Santhosh Babu inaugurated the distribution at the corporation godown here. The State Government has allotted 2,501 tonnes to Krishnagiri district, he said. The bags would be supplied at the godowns in Krishnagiri, Pochampalli, Uthangarai, Hosur and Denkanikottai.

People should apply to the respective tahsildars with necessary information and documents, including the address of the construction site, survey no., building plan approval, map, copy of family card or the electors’ photo identity card. The building plan approval should have been issued on or after July 1, 2007. The payment should be made by way of demand draft drawn in favour of the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation. A person can get a maximum of 100 bags.

The construction area should not exceed 1,000 sq ft, the Collector added.
