New Delhi: As he prepares to fly out to Australia for the tri-series, Indian speedster S. Sreesanth announced that he was ready to have a crack at Ricky Ponting’s men. “I am going to perform and enjoy my game,” Sreesanth said ahead of the tri-series which will involve Sri Lanka as the third team. “I am not scared, but they (Australians) should be worried about me since I will be bowling after a good rest.” The 24-year-old Sreesanth interacted with the media here on Tuesday after felicitating the winners of the Gatorade Speedster 2008 talent hunt to find India’s next pace sensation. Known for his confrontations with Ponting and his teammates, especially Andrew Symonds, Sreesanth said that he would rather concentrate on his job. Confessing that he had a blast after India beat Australia in Perth, Sreesanth said he would like to give his best so that India could have many such victories in the ODI series. Under scrutiny after having featured in several run-ins with the opposition during the home series against Australia last year, Sreesanth said he would like keep a low profile but perform at his best. Not to go overboardRecovering from an injury-forced rest, Sreesanth, who has played 11 Tests and 34 ODIs, promised not to overstep the line. “I play with passion and I always follow my heart, but I know the rules of the game and I would never overstep. I would never do something that can affect the spirit of the game,” he said. “I have learnt to control my aggression now. I can assure you that the passion would be same but I would not cross the limit,” said Sreesanth. No competitionWhen asked whether he would have to compete with the R.P Singh, Irfan Pathan and Ishant Sharma, who have done well in the Test series, Sreesanth brushed aside the query saying “there is no competition among us.”
