Sreesanth, Munaf fit

Mumbai: Seamers Munaf Patel and S. Sreesanth have been declared fit by the support staff, Paul Chapman and Paul Close, at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), Bangalore. Both underwent fitness tests on Friday and Saturday.

“They have been declared fit. It’s up to the selection committee to take a decision on whether they should be picked for the one-day series,” said Niranjan Shah, Secretary, BCCI. While seamer Zaheer Khan (heel injury) has been ruled out for the tri-series , Munaf and Sreesanth have been included in the West and South Zone teams respectively for the Duleep Trophy tournament scheduled to start at Ahmedabad and Rajkot from January 26. — Special Correspondent
