Early polls sought in State

Bangalore: Bharatiya Janata Party’s Prime Ministerial candidate and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha L. K. Advani on Thursday urged the Centre not to delay the elections to the Karnataka Assembly. Mr. Advani, who was in Bangalore to attend a programme to felicitate former Union Minister George Fernandes, told presspersons that the elections should be held at the earliest.

Recently, a delegation comprising BJP State unit leaders also met a team from the Election Commission of India, and sought an early election.
