‘India, U.S. partners in clean energy’

BANGALORE: India and the United States are going to be the closest associates in producing and spreading the use of cleaner energy not just in conventional energy resources but also in non-conventional resources, U.S. Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Market Access and Compliance David Bohigian has said.

Mr. Bohigian told The Hindu that he was optimistic that there was much that could be done in popularising solar, wind energy and gasification technology that were environmentally clean. “This delegation which I am heading has a number of industrialists who share a vision about clean energy. We believe that technology mix should be led by Industry specific options India should give more energy to its people so that they become prosperous,” he said.
