Gulbarga
He will take up responsibilities in the party at the State level GULBARGA: The district unit of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has relieved one of its senior most leaders and State secretariat member Maruti Manpade to take up responsibilities in the party at the State-level. The three-day district level conference of the party held in Gulbarga from January 4 to 6, honoured Mr. Manpade for his contribution to the party in the district. Mr. Manpade, who was the district secretary of the party since 1992, was also a one-term member of the Gulbarga zilla panchayat. Party sources said here on Tuesday that Mr. Manpade, who was reluctant to accept the responsibilities of the party at the Statelevel for personal reasons, was persuaded by the party leadership. A formal announcement on his new assignment would be announced in the party’s conference to be held at Mysore.
