Bodies of two children found floating in well

TAMBARAM: The bodies of two children were found floating in a farm well in Guduvanchery on Friday. Police are searching for the mother of the children, with whom she left her house on Wednesday.

According to the police, Anusha (30) and her husband Rajkumar (35) used to quarrel with each other frequently. The couple were residents of Vellanchery. Rajkumar was working in a private firm.

Goes missing

On Wednesday, Anusha went missing with her two daughters – Keerthana (3) and Madhumitha (1).

For the past two days, Rajkumar and his relatives were searching for the three of them. And on Friday afternoon, a farmer noticed the bodies of the children floating in the well.

Retrieved

He informed personnel at Guduvanchery police station and the bodies were retrieved. Firemen from the Emergency Rescue Team at Maraimalai Nagar the police suspect that Anusha jumped into the well.

A search is also on at her relatives’ houses, police said, adding that a case under Section 174 Cr.Pc was registered. Further investigations are on.
