‘Expedite development works’

NAMAKKAL: Collector G. Sundaramurthi instructed the officials to complete the development works carried out under the Anaithu Grama Anna Marumalarchi Thittam within the specified time.

He inspected the development works taken up under the scheme in four village panchayats Sellappampatti, Minnampalli, Karaikurichi and S. Nattamangalam in Puthuchatram block recently.

While reviewing the progress of whitewashing of buildings in Sellappampatti panchayat union school and creation of a pond in Karaikurchi, the Collector directed the officials speed up the execution of the works.

He instructed the officials to complete the whitewashing within January 10. He inspected the road laid between Kizhakku Palapatti and Avalnaickanpatti at an estimated cost of Rs. 2 lakh and library building constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.80 lakh in Sellappampatti.

After inspecting improvement works carried out in a crematorium in Minnampalli, Mr. Sundaramruthi asked the officials to plant more tree saplings around it.
