Chennai: For Vikram fans, 2008 begins on an exciting note as the much-awaited ‘Bheema’ is scheduled to hit the big screen on Pongal Day.

Produced by A.M. Rathnam for Surya Movies, the film got the clearance of the Censor Board on December 31.

According to Lingusamy, director, “It will be a different film for all of us and particularly for Vikram fans. There is love and action in the film. One can say the action sequences will surely be different from Vikram’s earlier films.”

Music director Haris Jayaraj has worked for nearly 48 days on the re-recording alone. Vikram plays the role of a member of a gang. His code word is ‘Bheema’. Trisha plays the role of a college girl. Vikram appears in five different get ups. Prakash Raj, Asish Vidyarthy and Raguvaran are among the other actors.
