Zubair, Anthony shine

Hyderabad: Saiful Hasan Zubair (105) and Anthony Reddy (100) helped St. Josephs degree college to beat Badruka college by 208 runs in the Ranga Reddy trophy inter college cricket tournament organised by Osmania university here on Thursday.

The results: St. Joseph’s 271 for five (Saiful Hasan Zubair 105, Anthony Reddy 100) bt Badruka 63.

GCPE 161 (Krishan four for 21, Ateeq four for 33) lost to Nizam 162 for seven (Krishna 40).

OUEC 209 (Sumanth Reddy 88, Azam Ali four for 45) lost to AV 210 for six (Dastagir 60, Azam 50 n.o., Sanjay four for 23).

VV Day 341 for six (Deepak 109, Rajender 93) bt Vasavi 117 (Varun 70, Deepak five for 27).

Muffakam Jah 342 for six (Abhishek Ponia 111, Gowtham Reddy 91, G. Karthik 78) bt MVSR college 91 (Karthik six for 17).

Mumbai zone wins

Mumbai zone registered a facile nine wicket win over Eastern zone in the All India zonal cricket tournament here on Thursday.

The scores: Western zone 151 for seven (Hemanth Zarkar 47) bt Central zone 114.

Eastern zone 44 lost to Mumbai zone 46 for one.

Central zone 114 for nine lost to Northern zone 115 for two (Parvesh 61).

Southern zone 151 for eight (Diliraj 42) lost to Western zone 152 for three (Charanjit Singh 58).

Golconda beats Pushkar

Golconda team beat Pushkar team 52-24 while Nagarjuna team defeated Konark team 28-23 in the inaugural matches of the kabaddi tournament of the Department of Atomic Energy’s sports and cultural meet being organised by the Nuclear Fuel Complex here on Thursday.

AP shooting team

The following shooters will represent Andhra Pradesh in the 51st National shooting championship in shotgun events to be held at Jaipur from Dec. 23 to 28.
