THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The visiting Kerala Veterans cricket team had mixed luck in Sri Lanka according to information reaching here. Kerala Veterans lost to Singhalese Sports Club Vetarans led by Arjuna Ranatunga in the opening match by 25 runs. However, the Kerala Veterans defeated Lanka Cavaliers by 10 runs in the second match. The scores: SSC Veterans 175 for three in 25 overs (Arjuna Ranatunga 62, Anurag Gunawardene 51) bt Kerala Veterans (Syed Kirmani 52, M. Periera three for 16). Kerala Veterans 203 for three in 25 overs (B. Ramprakash 74, T.R. Sudeesh 58 n.o.) bt Lanka Cavaliers 193 for five in 25 overs (Gurughe 72 n.o., Ranmore 53).
