Teja stars in Bangalore’s win

Bangalore: R.P. Teja’s five-wicket haul helped Bangalore Zone defeat Shimoga Zone by 171 runs in a KSCA inter-zonal under-13 tournament match here on Tuesday.

The scores:

Bangalore Zone 220 for eight in 50 overs (Abhishek Reddy 93 n.o., Deepak five for 75) bt Shimoga Zone 49 in 19 overs (R.P. Teja five for 17).

Combined City XI 383 for two in 50 overs (Virendra Singh 176 n.o., M. Vineeth 108, Abhinav Manohar 76 n.o.) bt Raichur Zone 162 in 49.2 overs (Athresh 77, Farhan four for four).

Tumkur Zone 151 in 44.5 overs (M.G. Shashi 45, Konnappa four for 53) lost to Bangalore City 152 for two in 26.1 overs (Mohammed Saif 57, Sarthak 50 n.o.).

Dharwad Zone 261 for nine in 50 overs (S. Biswas 86 n.o., Atrey Inamdar 47) bt President’s XI 221 for five in 50 overs (D. Nischal 105 n.o., Aaron 46).

Varun and Sanjay shine

Varun’s unbeaten 121 and Sanjay’s seven for 34 helped Parachute Regiment School (PRS) defeat Holy Saint English School by 204 runs in a Boost Cup under-17 inter-school tournament match here on Tuesday.

PRS posted 315 for five in 45 overs and bowled out Holy Saints for 111 in 21.5 overs.

Parachute Regiment School 315 for five in 45 overs (Varun 121 n.o., Chandraram 96) bt Holy Saint English School 111 in 21.5 overs (Sanjay seven for 34).

BEL HS 78 in 20.2 overs (Akbar five for 28) lost to Presidency School, RT Nagar 80 for no loss in six overs.

National HS 91 in 24.1 overs (M. Abhishek five for 35) lost to SJBHS 96 for no loss in 11.4 overs (Vinoop 64 n.o.).

ITI Vidyamandir 155 in 33.1 overs (Subramani 60 n.o., Shreyas Gopal four for 24) lost to FAPS 156 for no loss in 22.4 overs (S. Abhijith 101 n.o.).
