Maharashtra 216 for seven

VISAKHAPATNAM: A. Joshi and Rohit Jadhav added 64 runs in the unbeaten eight wicket stand to help Maharashtra reach 216 for seven at close on the first day of the all-India under-22 tournament final, for the C.K. Nayudu Trophy, here on Tuesday. Joshi was on 49 and Jadhav on 20 at stumps.

Electing to bat, Maharashtra found the going tough against Mumbai bowling. Ankit Chavan, Balwinder Singh Sandhu and Rohan Raje picked up two wickets each.

The scores: Maharashtra 216 for seven in 78 overs (A. Joshi 49 batting) vs. Mumbai.
