HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy has expressed grief and shock over the killing of two students, Chandrasekhar Reddy Komma and Kiran Kumar Allam on a university campus in the United States. They were found shot dead on a Louisiana State University (LSU) campus apartment on Thursday night. A statement issued here on Friday said the Chief Minister directed the officials to get details of the incident. Kumar is the son of the noted poet and writer, Allam Rajaiah, who works for ACC in Mancherial. He was married to a software professional and the couple were expecting their first child in a few months. Kumar completed M.Sc. (Chemistry) in Anwar-ul-uloom College here city and moved to the LSU four years ago for pursuing Ph.D in organic chemistry.Incidentally, Kumar’s mother is on a visit to the U.S. and is staying with her daughters. “He was an ambitious student and wanted to make it big in life,” his uncle and senior journalist Allam Narayana told The Hindu.
