Progress in rural works reviewed

MADURAI: The Secretary to the Government, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, K. Ashok Vardhan Shetty, on Tuesday held a review meeting with Collectors of nine southern districts on the progress made in works under schemes.
Accompanied by the Project Implementation Officer, Tsunami Project Implementation Unit, V. Thangavelu and the Director of Rural Development, Gagandeep Singh Bedi, Mr. Shetty held discussions with the officials on the implementation of the schemes. The Madurai Collector, S.S. Jawahar, was, among others, present, according to a release.
