Shandilya started off in style with steady breaks of 50 and raised his game towards the end, coming up with breaks of 128, 55, 62 and 136 in quick succession to beat Nakul Patel of Gujarat 889-121. Joshi outclassed Ahsan-ul-Haque of Orissa 900-90.
