Monu scores winner

NEW DELHI: Youngman Sports Club rode on the lone goal scored by striker Monu to beat former champion Mughals 1-0 in the league match of the Delhi Soccer Association’s Senior Division football championship at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Monday.

In the other match of the day, Shahdara FC came from behind to hold Bangadarshan to a 2-2 draw.

Rahul Thapa had put Bangadarshan ahead in the second minute before Kamal scored the equaliser in the 17th minute. Shahadara then moved up through Mahesh Bisht’s 46th minute strike before Gaurav brought the scores at level in the 52nd minute.
