Sensex ends lower

MUMBAI: The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex on Monday fell by 35 points to close at 19930.68, snapping the three-sessions long bull run, due to selling in key counters on political concerns caused by CPM’s tough stand on Indo-U.S. nuclear deal. The Sensex touched an intra-day high of 20095.69 earlier in the day, but later dropped to a low of 19834.01 on heavy selling.

It, however, recovered to settle the day at 19930.68 against Friday’s close of 19966.00, a fall of 35.32 points. — PTI
