Rahman’s suicide note retrieved from computer

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation has retrieved possibly the last suicide note from a computer recovered from the kin of Rizwanur Rahman.

Rahman, a computer graphics teacher, who married Priyanka Todi, daughter of influential businessman Ashok Todi, was found dead near the rail track in Kolkata on September 21.

The CBI secured this data from the computer, which was recovered from the house of Rahman’s maternal aunt, who, after the death of Rahman, deleted the letter, CBI sources said.

They said that in the letter Rahman had stated the condition of his mind and non-cooperation from the Todi family in allowing him to meet his wife.

With this letter, the CBI had started finalising its status report along with the charge sheet and was likely to book one of the kin of Ms. Priyanka and two police officials for allegedly abetting suicide. — PTI
